Everyday Math has caused our students to be excited about learning math again. Because the program uses concrete learning children understand math, not just recall facts. It is an amazing way to teach mathematics to elementary students who then are being moved ahead in the higher grades.

Why give tests if they are not used to drive instruction? Most of the standardized tests are more for the legislators mandating them rather than the teachers. Teachers assess their students daily in all subjects and then adjust their teaching to make all students successful or as some say "leave no child behind". We've been doing this for years!

That's the kind of teacher we need to hear about more often. There are countless "TRich's" all over this country.
