University of Central Oklahoma officials estimate they will save $478,000 a year by limiting the number of printers on campus and leasing more energy-efficient equipment.

The printer initiative a pilot program. For now, the plan is to have one printer per department. However, that may be altered if the department has special needs or someone with disabilities. -- Charlie Johnson
