State higher education regents approved tuition and mandatory fee increases on Thursday for Oklahoma's public colleges and universities.

If access is the issue ... then you want to make college something that anyone can afford. You ought to be very, very careful about raising tuition. -- Richard Vedder, an Ohio University professor who is the director of The Center for College Affordability and Productivity
