What is Mathetude?

Mathetude began over 30 years ago when as a young man I would regularly wake up to find my mother in the kitchen doing math problems. For fun!!! I wholeheartedly tried to reject the "math is fun" attitude but it has followed me ever since.

My first career was logistics and involved weight,dimensions, distance andtime - math. I started a web design company in the late 90s and constantly encountered the Golden Mean - math. And more recently I built a business intelligence company using tools based on algorithms I cannot pronounce much less spell - again math.

So thats the reason for Mathetude, the name. Sort of a tribute to my mom.

Mathetude the site is a tribute to education. Our goal, which I hope you will help with, is to create an online destination for educators, students and anyone interested in the betterment of education. It is a clearinghouse of ideas, actions and result from around the world.
